Come along and ride...

Just spent the better part of the past 10 days in a mini-van on a family vacation. Well, "vacation" is a relative term. Let's us use the word "voyage" instead, as it feels a whole lot more accurate.

In the coming days I may feel the need to share variations of book reports and/or "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" up in this piece. Maybe even some pretty pictures.

For now, just checking in to say I am alive, well, and rockin' out, yo.
Much like my friend in this here video:

Not sure why, but junior year of college I found that hysterical. Still not sure why, but I still do.

Love's an excuse to get hurt....

Well. I have moved back in with my parents. For 2 months.
As one handsome young man pointed out to me the other day, I have become THE blogger cliche. Living at home, unemployed, blogging from my parents' basement, not wearing pants...wait...what?
Oh, alright, I'll go put some pants on. You guys won't let me do anything fun.

Anyway. The wireless sucks and I can't get on Deadspin to waste away my evening on DU!AN, so here I am.
Did some catching up over at the FanHaus and found...THIS:
Just kidding. I can't figure out how to embed this video.
So here is a link and I highly recommend you click it if you haven't watched it yet.
I find Miss Gossip to be completely adorable and would totally be her BFF if I ever met her in real life and if she didn't think I was a total freak, because...because sometimes I speak without thinking or think things are funny that no one else does and people think I'm a total freak and...anyway.
Miss Gossip. Awesome.
AND! Similar senses of humor...
When I ended a serious relationship a couple years ago, I joked to my best guy friend (and fellow diehard NBA fan) that I was done with serious relationships and only going for short-lived flings/non-serious endeavors by saying, "10-day contracts only." His response, which I used as an away message for months was, and I quote: "Ha! You're gonna bang a bunch of Eddie House and DerMarr Johnsons!" You can only imagine my excitement when House landed on the Nets.

See? BFF!
Actually, what I don't get is...Vince Carter? Really? I mean if you're gonna be attracted to his high-flying abilities from a decade ago that's one thing, but...the 2007 version is hardly what I would call "sexy."
Also, how do you interview the man candidly and not ask him what caused his fear of the metal rim? My curiosity would get the better of me. Of course, I am a bitch. So that's that.

Random side note:
The Sez has informed us that Boki was a huge Danny Tartabull fan growing up.
I knew I loved the Slovenian Slammer for a reason. Well, other reasons besides how adorable he is, anyway.

The last ass-bump we shall ever see between these two. Sad face. :(
